My evening skincare routine – vegan

Hi everyone

I personally think the evening skincare routine is so important to the look and feel of your skin and also the long term condition of your skins in terms of aging, blemishes and dullness. When your sleeping your body heals itself and restores itself after the day and for me if you face can’t breath and is covered in make up, grease, oil and bacteria then it can’t recover.

For me as well as this I actually enjoy taking my make up off, I normally shower and wash my hair each night and that along with removing my make up makes me feels like I am washing the day out of hair and off my face. It’s time for yourself to care about yourself and it gives you time to yourself. Where I can I also encorporate products that contain lavender into my routine. So let’s get into my evening skincare routine.

My first step is the Superdrug Tea Tree pink grape fruit face wash, it smells really nice and gets rid of my make up really quickly, I use this twice the first time to take off my make up and the second to wash my face. Then I use the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel exfoliating pads. I just sweep them all over my skin avoiding the eye and it gets the last bit of my make up off and exfoliates my skin but very gently. These smell really nice and not a really strong tea tree or witch hazel fragrance.

Next I like to use face masks, I don’t do this every night and I do not use my mask all over my face each time but target problem areas. I do a mask 2 or 3 times per week and I only do my whole face once a week. The areas I do more frequently are my chin and nose and for this I use the Body Shop Charcoal mask as it is a really deep clean and also contains exfoliating particles. When I do my whole face I use the Lush Cupcake mask. It’s amazing and I do want to eat it!

Once I have done these steps I feel my face is 100% clean and exfoliated so I the start to add moisturiser back in. Firstly I use the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic which I put in a cotton pad and swap across my face, this is the loveliest product in my routine it feels so fresh and leaves my skins so plump and smoothie, it also smells beautiful. It’s a luxury product and is about £15 but it is so worth it.

Next I use the Liz Earle Soothing Eye Lotion, again I put his on a cotton pad and run this under my eye and over the lid. After a long day this is amazing on the eyes and sometimes I just leave it over my eyes for a minute or so to freshen and get rid of puffiness. Again it is a treat as it does cost between £15-£20 but I feel the difference especially after a long week.

After the Liz Earle product I use the Superdrug Beautiful Essence Lotion and I put this on my chest and face by putting in my hand and patting it into the skin.

Once this has dried the final to step is the moisturiser? I put on my Lush vanishing cream moisturiser lotion all over my face, it contains lavender and it just sinks into the skin leaving it so smoothe. Then for my eyes I is the Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream. This is just amazing, I feel like I look 10 years younger and my eyes just feel amazing.

So that it that’s my routine, it makes me feel ready for sleep and hopefully allows my skin to breathe, restore and refresh for the following day.
What’s your skin routine, do you have any routines or products you would reccomend?
